DJ Kev0n

DJ Kev0n (DJK)

(born Kevin Wyatt, December 31st, 1983)

An American Producer/Mix tape DJ from Delaware. Styles include but not limited to Rap, Hip Hop, R&B, Rock Instrumentals & Currently Producing Under Nobody Rides 4 Free Records.

Kevin Wyatt is Oldest of his three siblings (Pam, Adele and Eva). At the age of three Kevin started singing songs on a cheap toy microphone. His love for music grew as he moves on to toy keyboards and other musical instruments. At the age of 10 his grandmother, Adele Jones, signed him up for guitar lessons. After a couple of months of him listening to the teacher play music the whole lesson, he decides to quit. As Kevin gets older, he saves up enough money to buy his first real instrument. That instrument was a MIDI keyboard from Radio Shack. He begun learning how music works: timing, rhythm, and structure. As time moves along, Kevin learns to connect his keyboard to his computer. He started off with a program called: Cakewalk Pro Audio. He now learned how to compose a MIDI song using different tracks and instruments. Today he currently uses Fruity Loop Studio 9, A Casio WK-3000 Keyboard, A microKORG Vocoder and many different virtual instruments.

Present day, Kevin Wyatt works for a label out of Claymont, Delaware named: Nobody Rides 4 Free or NR4F. Nobody Rides 4 Free is owned by a long time friend that goes by the name of Rude Boi. The two along with other label mates (Daniel Black and Mikey D) have performed many shows in Delaware’s tristate area. Most recent was May 29th at Mojo 13 in Wilmington, De. They, along with other local acts, put on a show called “Keep Delaware Hip Hop alive”. The show provided that Delaware Hip Hop was indeed alive. This was the best selling Hip Hop show at Mojo 13 (A mostly heavy metal club). NR4F helped break the sales record that night. Kevin was on stage along side Rude Boi to sing there crowd favorite “Closing Time”.. A remake of the widely popular rock song by Semisonic.
