There is much to be said about the “Wrecking Ball”, Kyle Kirk.
Aside from being a friend that noone could ever forget or replace, he had a very large helping hand in getting Nobody Rides 4 Free off the ground.
Having a passion for music since a young age, he seen “what could be” with his longtime friend, Rude Boi’s musical endevors and went into the music world full force with him. After going thru so many pushbacks and dissapointments, they decided to take a stand against what everyone considers the “only way to go” (getting signed to a major label) and took matters into their own hands.
Not long after, Nobody Rides 4 Free began to take off as The Wrecking Ball & Rude Boi took their homestate, as well as Upper Darby, Pa. by storm.
Selling albums & handing out samplers on the streets of Delaware, they began to get a reputation. This is also to be said about their on stage shows as well. Playing sold out shows with such underground greats as Tech N9ne & Paul Wall and doing several shows in the Pennsylvania area with Bone Thugs N Harmony, the duo became unstoppable. Only 1 year in, and they had accomplished what many underground/unsigned artists never get a chance to do.
In 2008, Wrecking Ball helped progress the company even further. Breaking records at local venues (Mojo 13, Wilmington, De.) & starting in merchandising, it was apparent they were onto something, and he was a founding partner of what is to come..
In summer of 2008, While coming back from an event in Illinois, and hours after playing his last show, Wrecking Ball was involved in a car accident, and sadly his life was taken. To this day, his presence can still be felt in every aspect of the 4. He is, and always will be a prominent aspect of Nobody Rides 4 Free..
Rest in Peace Wrecking Ball
